Barbara Falowski Funeral & Cremation Services provides many options of funeral merchandise for our famlies to choose from. There are many different levels of quality and prices. Below is a price range for funeral merchandise we offer and a description of the types.
Semi-Precious Metals: Bronze and Copper Caskets
Many families choose bronze or copper because they are superior to all other casket materials in strength, durability and naturally non-rusting qualities.
Carbon Steel Caskets
Steel caskets are usually described as 20-gauge (thinnest), 18-gauge, or 16-gauge (thickest) carbon steel. The differences in thickness mainly reflect the overall quality of the casket in relation to the durability of the product. Steel caskets can also be made of differing grades of stainless steel, which is more corrosion-resistant than standard steel.
The wood caskets we offer are hand crafted like fine furniture with natural warmth and beauty and distinct grain pattern. Wood caskets are made from a variety of hardwoods and softwoods. The actual specie of wood used will be a major determinate in the price of the casket, as will the construction; walnut, mahogany, and cherry are going to be more expensive than oak, pecan, or pine, and a solid wood casket is more expensive than a casket made with multiple kinds of wood or veneers.
Individual Cremation Urns
Many families choose bronze or copper because they are superior to all other urn materials in strength, durability and naturally non-rusting qualities.
Companion Cremation Urns
These cremation urns are specially sized to hold the cremated remains of two individuals. Some of them have one chamber and some have two separate chambers within the cremation urn. Either way there is adequate space for the cremated remains of two people. Companion cremation urns come in many materials and sizes.
Cremation Urns for a Child
These cremation urns are specially sized and styled with children and infants in mind. The styles of these urns are suitable for children by way of artistic design, color and shape.
Keepsake Cremation Urns
These urns range in size but hold a considerably smaller amount of ashes then an individual sized urn. They are often used in addition to an individual urn. When several family members each want to share a portion of the cremated remains, keepsake urns can be used. They come in many materials and colors.
Cremation Urn Jewelry
Cremation jewelry has become very popular in recent years. Wearing jewelry is very comforting to survivors, and in a small way jewelry keeps memories close to the heart and keeps us connected as a part of our loved ones are always with us. Cremation Urn Jewelry is the smallest of cremation urns, holding only a pinch of cremated remains or a lock of hair or dried flowers petals from the funeral. We have cremation urn jewelry in silver, gold, gold vermeil, pewter, brass, steel, wood, and glass. All of our pendants will hold a small portion of cremated remains.
These are a specialized type of urn for those families that have elected to scatter the cremated remains of their loved one. Scattering urns come in many styles and the location and technique of scattering will often determine the type of scattering urn desired. For example if you know you will eventually be scattering in a body of water, then you would be likely to select a biodegradable type of scattering urn. If you will scattering in the garden, a birdhouse urn will also serve as a monument in the garden location. Because scattering is irreversible, it is suggested that some of the ashes be kept using a cremation keepsake urn.
